With
fast food burrito giant Chipotle about two blocks away, why
should you try the locally owned burrito shop? Because the
Taqueria Cantina and Burrito Joint blows Chipotle away on
both taste and quality.
There are six choices for
burritos, bean, veggie, chicken, pork, beef and steak, my
favorite. One time I tried the chicken and yes, it was good as
well. I've also heard the Quetzacoatal Fish Tacos found
on the signature menu rock. The menu also includes standard fare
like chips and salsa, guacamole, chili con queso and fried
plantains. There are tacos made with the same six choices as the
burritos, salads, tortas (sandwiches) and wraps.
The resaturant also serves
breakfast and quite frankly, if you've never had a breakfast
burrito, you have no idea what you're missing. We recommend the
Campesino Burrito made with three scrambled eggs, caramelized
onions, cheddar cheese, bacon and refried beans. The whole thing
is served with Pico de Gallo. If you don't have the guts to try
a breakfast burrito, try an omelet.
The Taqueria Cantina and
Burrito Joint stocks twenty or thirty kinds of imported
beers as well as the All-American favorites like bud. I have
determined that a Belgian beer, Stella Artois goes well with a
steak burrito.
We highly recommend the
Taqueria!
