Moriano restaurant and cafe Miami FL

Greek Salad at Moriano Restaurant Miami FL

With Vlada Lounge Miami opening very soon we thought we would check out the neighborhood and find a few places to eat. We were in luck! Immediately next door to Vlada is a great little culinary treat, Moriano.

Moriano doesn't look like much on the outside and quite frankly I saw "pizza" on the sign and thought "Well, that will at least curb my hunger." When we stepped inside Moriano we were surprised at the decor and the trendy little spot we had found. When we got the menu (some of it can be checked out below) we were amazed at the variety of foods coming out of this small restaurant. Moriano's menu includes a large selection of Panini, empanadas, vegetable tarts, soups, salads, pasta and pizza. You'll also find several dinners like steak and grilled or breaded chicken that are served with fries, mashed potatoes or rice.

Grilled Chicken at Moriano Restaurant Miami We were immediately seated and throughout our lazy afternoon meal we found the service to be very attentive. While we were one of only a few tables seated, there was a scooter parked outside that one of the employees was constantly hopping on to make deliveries. Yup, Moriano delivers all of this goodness into Midtown and the Design District.

The food you you see in these two photos is exactly what we ordered. We didn't touchup or Photoshop the images! My dining partner ordered the grilled chicken and house salad. The chicken was perfectly cooked and had a Caribbean citrus flavor. If I had a nickel for every time he raved about his meal, I could have had dessert! It was that good.

I ordered the Greek style salad that came loaded with cherry tomatoes, red onions, cucumbers, olives, fresh spring mix and huge chunks of feta cheese. As you can see in the photo it was very fresh and clearly served immediately after it was prepared. other salads you might try include a spinach salad with gorgonzola cheese, chicken caesar, tuna and a caprese with mozzarella, prosciutto and fresh basil.

If I was attempting to pick the style of food served, I would call this Greek meets Italian with a South American flair. The menu is quite eclectic and because of that Moriano is the perfect place for good times at a table filled with friends.
