A La Folie Café Français is a Gay friendly restaurant nestled on the west end of quaint Espanola Way in Miami Beach Florida. The low key charm comes from authentic French food, wine, music and service. The atmosphere is authentic Parisian with wood paneled walls, cafe tables and a few people chatting it up in French. Even the neighborhood has the ambiance of the Rive Gauche, with artists and gypsies selling their wares along the street. You half expect to see the Seine and Notre Dame, or the Eiffel Tower when you look over the neighboring buildings rooftops. Much of the decadence found in Place Pigalle certainly exists on Washington Avenue, only a couple of blocks away.

Barbara London, Associate Curator, Department of Media at the Museum of Modern Art, New York had this to say when asked by flavorpill.net  what her favorite Miami hangout is, "A la Folie, A French Restaurant on Espanola Way." We echo that reply and add this; grab a copy of Le Monde, a cafe table outside, order a chocolat-banane crepe (Nutella of course), a grand crème and soak up another surreal and authentic experience in Florida that can only happen on South Beach.
