Saturday morning the much anticipated move of the Pride Factory to their new location on 13th street happened. They moved their popular store to an even better location, and the place looks fabulous. When you get a chance stop by and see all the wonderful things they sell. Congrats to Rocky (GM) and the entire staff on this new adventure!!! 

Last Saturday night Score's new One World Party started off with a bang. If you've ever been in Score on any of their packed nights, you already know how much fun it can be and the One World Party definitely got off to a great start. DJ Bruno rocked the house and Celada made an appearance singing club hits, “Dirty Filthy”, “Music is the Answer” and “The Underground.” Lynee Bove's Siren, upstairs at Score, was also over the top busy. What's One World about? Everyone…..Trannies, straight, gay, lesbian, bi, the whole world is welcome. The crowd was mostly LGBT, but the straight people that wandered in were definitely treated to the good times that can only be found in a gay bar. Congrats to the staff at Score for taking a risk and pulling it off, big time! 

A benefit for Palm Beach's Compass GLCC was held at Halo last Saturday night and the place was packed wall to wall for the event. On hand were hundreds of hot boys and beautiful girls supporting a very worthwhile charity. A fundraising raffle included gifts from Papi underwear. The music was top notch as you would expect when DJ Oren Nizri is at the helm. Sponsoring the benfit were George Maiko Coronado and Arnold Matteson of Give Me A Beat Productions. By the way, try a blueberry mojito and tell them the guys at Mark's List recommended it. 

I then headed back to Fort Lauderdale for the first annual G.I.R.L. AID 2007 which was a thirty two hour party showcase eleven spectacular DJ's at, Uncle's Night Club - 1000 State Road 84. The event was simulcast live on Gay Internet Radio Live. While I was there I got to see sexy DJ Eddie Baez, and hear his fabulous music, as well as see performances by artists, Ceevox, and Michael M.

Moon Path Circle presents The Tequesta Drum Circle Fall Equinox Gathering, 2007 on Sunday, September 23; Light and Dark in Balance  from 7PM – Midnight. Friday, September 21st, is the next Wilton Manors Gay Bowling Social at Manor Lanes. The event begins at 9:30 and cost is $20 to bowl all night, but shoes are extra. The event benefits Shadowood II and offers you something to do outside of the bar scene, a chance to meet new friends and hang out with old friends. At the last event, they had close to 60 bowlers and 20 or so bystanders who bought raffle tickets for great prizes and rooted the bowlers on.  There is a bar at the bowling alley, so no fear for those of you who like a cocktail on Friday night!  It is great to see people routing each other on and seeing people who have never bowled before enjoying something new benefiting a great cause. Shadowood II, Inc was established in 1994, exclusively providing an answer to the ongoing need for the homeless and/or indigent people living with HIV/AIDS and substance abuse issues in our community. This year James Blood Ulmer has been an exposed to a whole new generation through his first-ever appearance at the 2007 Bonnaroo Music Festival. He has been repeatedly recognized as a true icon in the music industry, including receiving Downbeat Magazine’s “Blues Album of the Year” for his previous CD. His most recent work, a moving take on the Katrina catastrophe, has made James Blood Ulmer’s voice and searing guitar more relevant than ever. The excitement and joy of the 2006 Gay Games in Chicago are captured in a new 208-page 4-color glossy photo book available online from the Web site lulu.com. The book features more than 1,000 images of the sports, culture and ceremonies of Gay Games VII, which were held July 15-22, 2006. Several dozen professional photographers donated their services to cover the Gay Games, contributing more than 60,000 images to the Gay Games photo archives. These images were then culled to 11,000 and were made available in 2006 as downloads on the Gay Games Web site. Now, the best of those images are included in the book "Gay Games VII: Where the World Meets." The book is written by Gay Games VII Co Vice-Chair Tracy Baim, who is publisher of Windy City Media Group in Chicago. WCMG and its weekly newspaper, Windy City Times, coordinated the Gay Games photo project, and WCMG Art Director Kirk Williamson designed the book. "We are very excited to support the Federation of Gay Games (FGG) and its ongoing mission," said Baim. "All proceeds from the sale will go to the important work of the FGG. We wanted a book to show off the amazing contributions of thousands of athletes, cultural participants, volunteers, board, staff, sponsors, donors and more. It is an added bonus that it can benefit the FGG." The featured photographers in "Gay Games VII: Where the World Meets" are Steve Becker, Kat Fitzgerald, Amy Moseley and Patsy Lynch, who took the majority of the images. There are dozens of other professional and amateur photographers included, with images from all 31 sports and dozens of cultural events and ceremonies of Gay Games VII. "Gay Games VII" is a perfect gift for anyone who has ever attended a Gay Games, or for those who want to see more about events that have impacted hundreds of thousands of people. The book has an overview of the past seven Gay Games, including images of the first event in 1982 with co-founder Dr. Tom Waddell. There are also special photos taken by internationally renowned photographer Victor Skrebneski of amateur and professional Gay Games athletes. These include Esera Tuaolo, Leigh-Ann Naidoo and Matthew Cusick. Some photos were taken in conjunction with the April 2006 100 Champions weekend, which honored well-known LGBT sports figures and allies. Steve Becker also took special photos during the 100 Champions weekend, including of sports legend Greg Louganis. Especially memorable are images from the Opening and Closing ceremonies at Soldier Field and Wrigley Field. There are photos of the featured performers and speakers, including Mayor Richard M. Daley, Cyndi Lauper, Megan Mullally, Margaret Cho, Andy Bell, Heather Small, Jody Watley, ANT, Showtime's ‘The L Word' cast members, Ari Gold, and many more. The Gay Games decided to go with an online publishing format to allow for more creativity and flexibility. One of my favorite people and good friend, Brandy (Cupids Queen B) will be re-opening the Cupids West Palm Beach location and calling it Cupids Sports Bar. The club will be opened Sunday through Thursday from 4pm to 2am, and Fridays and Saturdays from 4pm to 5am. On Fridays and Saturdays they will feature the Cupids dancers, who will dance for your viewing pleasure, either from one of many intimate stages or for a Lap dance. They also wll offer 2 private bottle rooms. Brandy has done some major renovations including new TV’s, Lights, Sound System, and Pool Tables. The Grand Opening with NO COVER takes place this Friday September 21^st with the doors opening at 10pm.
