audition for Palm Beach PopStar, to take place from September 10 --

Boulevard Closing - Letter from
Lazarro Leon
"THE NEWS IS TRUE, owner
Leroy Griffith of At The Boulevard has changed hands once again and the club
will no longer be a gay nightclub starting today. The staff responsible for the
success of Boulevard is now out of work and the club is back in the hands of
former lessee Lenny of BLACKGOLD. Leroy decided to sell the lease as he claims
the gay nights did not make enough money to support the mega complex (a club
that has being paid for since the late 90's). On behalf of myself, many thanks
to the staff and all our wonderful customers; we had a great time and are very
happy and thankful of our turnout of Boulevard Fridays and Saturdays. Thanks to
Carlos Clausen, Hector, Asnel, Bill Hallquist, Ricardito and his dancers,
Teresita & Sophia, Adora & guests and all of you for making At the Boulevard a
great success in our vision. 700+ people in attendance almost every Saturday and
over $18,000 may not have kept the club alive but certainly proved that Miami
does need a change and a new nightclub scene. I entered in this deal with Mr.
Griffith with very skeptical feelings as myself and many people in this industry
know how tough it is to work with him; but it was all worth it and the times we
had were great and so much fun. Stay tuned for the next Boysinthenight event. I
wish Lenny and Leroy lots of luck in their new venture and we hope our customers
discontinue coming to Boulevard as this is now a straight, hip hop strip club."
