On
Saturday December 23rd
Stirling
celebrated his birthday over at Jackhammer. Stirling has
been in the bar business for many years and it showed by the
crowd that showed up to wish him Happy Birthday!!!
On
Sunday December 24,
Chad (GM of
Bills Filling Station) celebrated his 35th birthday
with an all night party.
The party started at Bills from
4-6pm and then continued at Voodoo Lounge from
6-9pm, with a VIP area, then went back to Bills for Drag
Factor from 9-midnight, and then ended the night back at
Voodoo from midnight to 4am. The Party was a blast, click here
to see the full gallery.
The
Boardwalk featured Matthew Rush for 4 days over
Christmas Weekend, and as always he packed the house. The day I
went, he had 2 other guys (Tommy Blade and another
hottie) on stage with him, and it was one of the hottest shows I
have seen!
I also went
up to
Orlando
for a few days, and stayed at the Gaylord Palms. Although
I did not do anything gay I had a fabulous time and would
suggest anyone go and stay at this resort….Well worth the money!
If you have a chance to go up next year Christmas time for
like
6 weeks the hotel is decorated for Christmas and it is
spectacular. In addition they feature what is the now famous Ice
Show. It is absolutely amazing what they make from ice. They
bring the designers in from
China
and it is featured there for about 6 weeks. Here is a look
at one of the spectacular ice sculptures. |

FUNNY BOY GETS
NAKED! |
 |
|
Funny Boy Films,
is currently in production on the motion picture version of the
smash Off-Broadway hit musical review
NAKED BOYS SINGING!
The stage show, now in its eighth year, is one of the longest
running productions in Off-Broadway history and has spawned long
running shows all over the world. Hailed by the media as
cheerful, cheeky, and hilarious, Naked Boys Singing is a
celebration of personal freedom, and male nudity. Productions
of Naked Boys Singing have appeared in over 20 countries, and
consistently play throughout the United States. Naked Boys
Singing first opened at the Celebration Theater in Los Angeles
in 1998 and quickly moved to the Off-Broadway stage. It was
conceived and directed by stage veteran
Robert Schrock.
“The original production was staged as a fundraiser, and the
response was tremendous,” says Schrock. “It appeals to a
very broad spectrum of people. This is a show that people see
time and time again. This is a dream come true for me, to know
that my baby is now going to be available to everyone, anywhere,
everywhere.” “One of my producing partners Sterling
Zinsmeyer introduced me to the project in 2004 and really
pushed me to consider it.” says producer
Kirkland Tibbels.
“I had a lot of success putting David Drake’s one man show
The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me
on film in 1999, so when I met with Robert and really got his
vision for the movie adaptation I jumped at the chance to work
with him on Naked Boys Singing!,”
“Funny Boy Films
is committed to bringing positive, uplifting entertainment to
the gay community, and Naked Boys Singing is exactly that. It’s a joyfully
liberating show.”
Produced by
Kirkland Tibbels,
and directed by
Troy Christian
and
Robert Schrock
with music direction by
Gerald Sternbach
and choreography by
Troy Christian.
The film stars: Andrew Blake Ames, Jason Currie, James
Hodges, Joseph Keane, Anthony Manough, Joe Souza,
Kevin Stea, Phong Truong, Salvatore Vassallo
and original LA cast member Vincent Zamora. Zinsmeyer and
Funny Boy Partner
Kermit Johns
are Executive Producers on the project. “It was a little
tough at first but I think once Bob saw that we were all
committed to essentially making the same movie it was smooth
sailing.” Helmer Christian said of co-directing with
Schrock, “he knew what wanted for the show and it was my job
to make sure it worked as a film – I think we made a pretty good
team!” Schrock and a team of 12 acclaimed writers including
Stephen Bates, Marie Cain, Perry Hart, Shelly Markham, Jim
Morgan, David Pevsner, Rayme Sciaroni, Mark Savage, Ben
Schaechter, Trance Thompson, Mark Winkler and two-time Emmy
Award winner
Bruce Vilanch
wrote the 16 song review. Production began on the musical and
companion documentary in late November and will complete in
early 2007. The companion documentary features interviews from
the original cast members, producers, and writers including
Pevsner, Winkler, and Vilanch. It centers on the outrageous
success the musical has enjoyed worldwide as well as the
controversial history of the show as it was shut down by vice
squads in Milwaukee, Atlanta, as well as in San Juan, Puerto
Rico. Funny Boy Films, the world’s first gay and lesbian
production company was founded in 2002 to independently develop,
produce, and finance gay and lesbian entertainment. The company
produced the award winning features LATTER DAYS (2004),
starring Steve Sandvoss, Wesley Ramsey, Jacqueline Bisset,
and Mary Kay Place, and ADAM & STEVE (2006),
starring Craig Chester, Malcolm Gets, Parker Posey,
and Chris Kattan. Both films were released theatrically and
on DVD by TLA Releasing and picked up for television on MTV’s
LOGO channel. Tibbels is currently working with acclaimed
writer/director Del Shores on the upcoming half-hour
television series based on Shores play turned movie Sordid
Lives for LOGO and the feature film
Elliot Loves
which he is producing with Robert Gant and Chad Allen.
According to
Ellegedly.com.....Rumor
