The plot was conceived from Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility. The screen play was adapted by Luis Alfaro, Craig Fernandez and Fina Torres to be a Latin version of the English novel.

This film is about two sisters that found out after the death of their father they were in fact not rich but poor, which this turn of events forced them to move in with an alienated aunt.
