Waitress Go See It
****(Four Stars)
Funny, Clever, entertaining, touching and heart
warming. This movie will sneak up and snuggle up next to
you in your chair.
We zoom in on the life of a very unhappy waitress named
Jenna (Keri
Russell) working in a quaint little pie shop.
The Diner is in the deep heart of the south. With a
miserable marriage, Jenna's only escape is creating new pies.
Beware, Jenna will suck you in with her clever wit, undying
charm and unique creativity when making pies. Take Bad Baby
Pie for example; it sounds delicious but who would ever mix
those ingredients together? Watch the movie and you'll see
what I'm talking about! Jenna is also the narrator and
often thinking out loud. It's so touching and shocking at
how clever she is. I truly loved her dialog.
Being a moral and old fashioned minded individual I found
myself surprised when I started rooting for her affair with
Dr Pomatter (Nathan
Fillion), usually these scenes bother me.
However nobody should be stuck in the controlling /
manipulative marriage that she had to Earl (Jeremy
Sisto.)
Go See this movie. It was so cute and sweet and makes you
appreciate the little things in life- even your annoying
regular customers like Old Joe (Andy
Griffith). You will leave the theatre happy with
a smile on your face and a craving pie.
