Surf's Up Dont Bother **(Two Stars)

Unless you are desperately looking for something to do with the little one, I would wait for a Surf's Up to come out on DVD, and then I would only buy it if you had a little one of your own.  This movie was very much for children, and not their parents.

Yes the Penguins are much cuter than the penguins of past films especially with their inking's, but this story was a two hour movie that could have been told in 30 minutes.   A huge icon in the Surfer World the unbeatable surfer Big Z (Jeff Bridges) looses to the new super talented and ego driven Tank (Diedrich Bader) he fakes his own death for he cannot bare to loose.   9 years later one of his biggest fans Cody Maverick (Shia LaBeouf) has come all the way to enter the BIG Z tournament and crashes and burns before the contest even starts.  Thus begins the moral of the story don't quit for loosing, and don't ever give up trying. Blah Blah blah....   Yes, its a good story, however it took way to long to tell but the kids will be mesmerized by the colorful surfing penguins.

Needless to say I would pass on this film unless you and your favorite niece or nephew or god son due for a movie night.
