Juno Go See It ****(Four Stars)

What a wonderful surprise,  Juno is simply amazing.  Yes this is definitely an "Indy" film, that being said it does move at a much slower pace.   However the lines are clever and witty.  Not to mention the character development is deep, significant, and profound.

I am honestly so excited to be able to write another movie review praising the talents of young Ellen Page (whom I first fell in love with in Hard Candy.)  In this film she plays the lead role of Juno MacGuff, a Junior in High School who gets pregnant by her best friend Paulie Bleeker (Michael Cera of Superbad). Their relationship is endearing and yet unique at the same time.  They are both social outcasts in different ways and ironically they are great for each other.  Both characters struggle with the choices that come with teenage pregnancy.  Juno is a brilliant and quick spoken girl who is wise and mature beyond her years. I must say that she is hot on the tail of "Indy" breakout star Natalie Portman.

You will see two higher profile faces in this film:  Jason Bateman (Mark Loring ) and Jennifer Garner (Vanessa Loring) who play the potential adoptive parents.   They are an adorable couple and I have to tell you Jennifer was amazing and actually made me tear up a bit.  She truly became her character and reached into my heart and tugged on it.

I highly recommend this film, simply because it is a true performance piece.   Every character in Juno comes with many visible levels.  If you enjoy films that aren't racing before you, then you will be touched when you see this movie, and more importantly, you will leave feeling as if you have been changed in some way.  This movie is super good.
