I Know Who Killed Me
PASS **(Two Stars)
Unless you're into self inflicted torture, don't bother going
to go see this movie. It is completely and utterly
painful. To tell you the truth, I really wanted to like
this movie. The trailer actually looked thrilling, however
spine chilling and suspenseful this movie was not. It was
however more like nails on a chalk board.
I
cannot begin to tell you how disappointed I am. No matter
what mishaps she has had in her personal life or in the
press, I have supported
Lindsay Lohan's
acting career and I truly believe she can act. She has
proved it over and over in challenging movies such as
Freaky Friday where
she plays an adult character at such a young age. In this
film she clearly still trying to break her character mold as
a Disney Star. Yet oddly enough she never showed too much
skin, even as a stripper.
In
this film, much like
Freaky Friday she
played two characters, Aubry, and Dakota. One (Aubry) is a
good little rich girl and the other (Dakota) is the daughter
of a crack addict. Both of of these girls she undergo a
massive amount of torment, and pain. Yet the entire
journeys is so super slow and drawn out. I will say that
the end of the film attempted to justify the means, in that
it had a wicked explanation. However the journey to get
there, as I mentioned before was played out like a lengthy
novel stretched out from 3 chapters to make 12.
So
basically if you only read the last paragraph, know that It
was slow, and painful, nothing like the trailer but if you
withstand all the torture the end is interesting, yet anti
climactic, with no resolve. This movie will not last long
at the theater.
