Hostel: Part II LOVED
IT *****(Five Stars)
Standing ovation to writer / director
Eli Roth for being able
to truly capture and dominate the horror genre. He has
truly proven that he is a sick mind. This movie was truly
fantastic, entirely grosse, and all together incredible. So
disgusting in fact that several of the audience members from
this screening got up and left holding their mouths, eyez or
stomachs. This movie was ridiculously disgusting and
gruesome and yet to be completely honest several of the acts
of violence scenes were filtered or blocked for your
protection. (Probably to prevent an NC-17) rating, however
there is no shortage of blood or guts.
If you missed the first chapter don't worry, it is easy to
understand and follow having missed it, for they do explain
what you missed for those too afraid to see the first one
but want to sign up for this ride. They have just enough of
the re-occurring actors for it to be a sequel. However in
this chapter is an all new story. In this tale for example
they tightened security at the factory especially after
Paxton (Jay
Hernandez) escaped in part one.
I would have to say part two tops part one in disgusting,
and raises you and oh my god, Why? However, I will admit
that part one may have been a bit more scary because you had
no idea what was going on or why it was happening. In this
chapter they take the time to explain everything, the when, the
where, and the why. Yet knowing that it is coming could be
just as scary.
Much like the first one this story starts off with the lure
-- how they trick the American tourists into changing their
plans to go visit to this Hostel. In this tale we meet
Beth (Lauren
German), Whitney (Bijou
Phillips), and Lorna (Heather
Matarazzo.) Three very different girls on a
European getaway.
I'm not here to give you a spoiler of what is happening,
however I will tell you I did not guess what was going to
happen, at all. In fact I was truly shocked, with he curve
ball they threw at you. I was shocked, in fact I don't
think I have been in a theatre where everyone screamed so
loud, both out of disgust, and shock.
If you are a fan of horror, slasher movies you must go see
this film and you must go see it now. Hostel II is nothing
short of amazing, and disgusting, and pointless, and
ridiculous. Go See it, if your stomach can handle it.
