Boy Culture Loved it
*****(Five Stars)
Boy Culture is thought provoking and emotionally
penetrating. This is a fun and yet intense film about a
high paid Hustler (escort) that calls himself X as he gives
the audience a revealing look into his life.
X (Derek
Magyar) is super witty and has no problem
telling it like it is. He is narrating this chapter of his
life story and is doing it in the form of a confession,
therefore he chooses to remain anonymous, which is why he
calls himself X. I loved it when he would say, "Forgive me,
for I have.... " and insert whatever uncomfortable
situation he was relating to. I was very
impressed with the dialogue and
surprised he was so shy and reserved considering his
lifestyle. X is a whore with high standards and morals
and I could relate to him on that level.
The supporting cast was also great. One of X's clients,
Gregory, (Patrick
Bauchau who was a major character on TV's
"Alias" and
"The Pretender")
displays and uses his cleverly constricted
tongue. His roommates are Joey (Jonathon
Trent) a flaming homo who freely
gives himself
to everyone and Andrew (Darryl
Stephens most famously known in the gay community
as playing Noah on TV's
"Noah's Arc") a new
gay, having come out recently. Andrew deals with his newly
discovered
sexuality as well as his attraction for his roommate.
Go see this Movie. You will enjoy this compelling and
amazingly realistic journey.
