Blades of Glory Go See It **** (Four Stars) 

If you are in the mood for a light hearted and funny movie then Blades of Glory should be your pick.  Go see this movie! Blades of Glory is silly, it is well kinda retarded and it is definitely funny.  It is also exactly the kind of slap stick movie you would expect with Will Ferrell in the lead role. Will does not let you down.   

I was impressed for at times this movie is blatantly homo erotic, as well as it should be with two men partnered up as male and male couple skate in an already effeminate sport.  The Humor of this movie was perfect.  It was well thought out and appropriately timed, never seemed forced or tried to hard.   

The minute Amy Poehler (Fairchild Van Waldenberg) appeared on screen the audience started laughing at the mere thought of her being a part of this journey.  I have to admit I died when she did the Marilyn with the pills it was great.  I also love the fact that many of the real life celebrities, of the ice skating world did cameo's in this film, that added a special touch and a feel of authenticity. 

I really enjoyed this film, even if I got a bit annoyed at so many of the body double scene's were not spliced together perfectly.  However I willingly over look them and applaud at their actual attempts to do as much skating as they did.  Go take a load of your feet and see this film for you will enjoy it.
