28 Weeks Later Don't
Bother * (One Star)
28 Weeks Later
is redundant, they told the story the first
time. Oh wait; in this version there are new players. Everyone is at risk of exposure, and if they become infected
everyone must die. (Cue for everyone to scream)
If you really like Zombie movies then you will like this as
the graphics are good. However, the cinematography is
really fast and jumpy. I guess they think if the camera man
is extremely jittery, and acting really crazy, then you will
be more scared?
The only scary parts of this movie come from the directors
ability to startle you with creatures jumping out of the
darkness. These scare tactics got a few screams and of
course the thought of being one of the last people alive and
alone is pretty scary.
The only scene to look forward to is the Helicopter scene.
It was great and the camera stayed still enough for you to
watch and enjoy. Who would have thought a helicopter could
be such a vicious weapon? There were also interesting
characters played by children. I really liked the little
girl, she was passionate and as she got dirtier she got more
gorgeous.
I would definitely pass on this movie unless you are a fan
of Zombie movies or savage brainless beasts coming after you
as you escape to save your life. However even then I would
wait till the DVD. The funny thing is they left it open for
a third chapter of this story, and this is a part three I
will sit out. |
