Go See it **** (Four Stars)

This may not be the most thrilling or exciting movie that you will see this year, however it may be the most important movie you have seen this decade.  I did not give this film an "I Loved It" rating because I didn't -- however I urge you to go out and see it.  This movie has a wealth of knowledge all of which is given to you in a plain and simple format.  All of this information proves Al Gore's theory in every way, and quite simply outlines our fate if we don't make some changes.

Please note I did not rush out to go see this movie for I was afraid this was a political soap box for Al Gore, instead it was the best way he could think of to get out a message that was of an urgent nature.  This is neither a Democratic movie or a Republican movie, it's actually not political in any way its just a film about our planet, and you do not need to be an Al Gore fan to enjoy it or even take away some vital information from it.  In fact the battle to save mother earth is not a left vs. right argument it is a stand that everyone needs to take no matter their beliefs.
In the past I have heard of Global warming as a theory, similar to the theory that smoking does not necessarily cause cancer.  Al Gore gives and example of a frog that if you put it in a pot of boiling water it will jump out, but if you put it in the pot while its luke warm it will stay in it as it gets hotter and hotter and hotter until its..... Ladies and gentlemen we are that frog and we need to be rescued.  If you have been to Alaska like I have and seen that the glaciers have almost disappeared in the last several years and if you live in Florida like I do and see first hand that the hurricanes have picked up intensity and frequency in the last couple years this movie will hit you first hand and make you sit up and take notice.
This is a film about an imperative topic (Global Warming) that is affecting the world today we are all at risk of being affected by global warming and if we don't take note and make some changes our lives and our world will be a very different place.  I must admit this movie was done very much in the format of a college lecture -- which may be a turn off.  Yet it was done in the common sense format that anyone could understand.  The only thing I was irritated by in this movie is it spent so much time convincing you that there was a problem and backing up their stories with much information yet they didn't go into much detail about how to correct this problem.

If you can lower your expectations to that of going to an important educational film, or even a class / seminar and prepared yourself to learn you will enjoy this film and walk out of this theatre with a new understanding of what's going on in the world around you.  Even further if you are able to implement a change into your lifestyle, you will be able to help our future generations exist.   Go see An Inconvenient Truth now, and if its not playing near you log onto www.climatecrisis.net to see what you can do to help this problem.
