CEO Dave Vincent Talks "Men of Ruff Riders"
by Troy Maillis

The “Men Of Ruff Riders” will be on display at Dennis Dean Galleries located at 2440 Wilton Drive (across from Rosie’s Bar & Grill) on Friday, April 15 from 7 to 10 p.m. As a special—and tasty treat, each of the hot models from the shoot will be in attendance.  So what exactly makes someone a “Man Of Ruff Riders”?  We caught up with CEO Dave Vincent to talk about just that.  Also, find out what’s in store for the future of the RR brand.

Photographer Dennis Dean is displaying the “Men Of Ruff Riders” at his Gallery.  What do you think about the photos?

From day one I have been impressed with Dennis' work. He has a great talent to pull the inner beauty from a model and, at the same time, produce the 'RUFF' enough image we are always looking for.

How would you describe the Ruff Riders brand/style for anyone who has not heard of it?

We have created a brand that showcases a universal appeal; it can dress you down or you can dress it up.

What does it mean to be a “Man of Ruff Riders”?

We have been all over the map, however, our 'MEN OF RUFF RIDERS' share a few standard qualities: sexy, masculine, self-assured and cool.

How have things changed in the company since you took over as CEO?

Many people ask why RUFF RIDERS closed its store in Fort Lauderdale. It was because when i took over I wanted to devote time to brand recognition and broadening our demographic. I've spent a lot if time carefully forming partnerships across the country. As a result, RUFF RIDERS has relaunched in Provincetown and now has partners in Atlanta, New York, Key West, Vancouver, San Francisco and Chicago, with more locations on the way.

Who/what are the biggest influences for the Ruff Riders trends?

It's a tough call to narrow it down. We test the markets, we take the feedback and hit the think tank. It's all about trying to bring something new, exciting, and fresh, but that's the challenge but that's the reward.

If you could dress one celebrity in the Ruff Riders brand, who would it be and why?

James Bond. He's got the sexy, the cool, the masculine - he's just missing the RUFF.

What are some of the designs we can look forward to seeing in the future?

Less of the same and more of what makes us special. We're always thinking. Keep your eye on us.
