Celebrates 30 Years
'King of Dancers'

At the age of 38 Sean David has accomplished one of his
passions and that being proprietor of one of South Florida’s
most popular male dancer’s clubs---Johnny’s.
The passion began some 15 years ago when Sean arrived in South
Florida from Israel where living a gay lifestyle was difficult.
“My first trip to the states was to South Beach and I saw how
open the gay community was and I wanted to be a part of it and
to live the American dream,” Sean said.
Upon arriving in South Florida at age 23, Sean was a male dancer
for about six months and also did some bartending to get on his
feet and earn some extra cash in order to make his next move.
After a six year stint as finance director of a major car
dealership, Sean acquired the funds to become partners with
Victor Zepka of Boardwalk who was moving the famed male dancers
club from North
Miami Beach to
Fort Lauderdale. It was at Boardwalk where he developed his
passion for the club business, and after three years decided to
go out on his own and sold his shares in Boardwalk.
In
March of 2008, Sean cut a deal with Johnny Moses who founded
Johnny’s and wanted to retire. Sean’s golden opportunity had
arrived. “I had a vision and the exact vision came to reality,”
he claimed. “We took over the dancer’s business in South Florida
and with good people we were able to take a rundown bar and make
it into something,” he added. Those good people include GM A.J
Cross and Uncle Al, who is office manager and offers much wisdom
to the business.
On the 30th anniversary of Johnny’s, Sean has developed the club
into a South Florida hot spot with a roster of 60 male dancers
throughout the week. “We are not only a dancer’s club. We offer
different areas of entertainment with several lounges, an
outdoor patio and have open a kitchen,” he proudly boasted. “Our
code problems with the city are over.”
Sean enjoys mixing with his customers. “I enjoy when customers
come up and tell me how happy with the improvements that have
been made at the club. It’s a fun business with a lot of
responsibility,” he added.
Expect lots of partying as Johnny’s celebrates 30 years of fun
times in South Florida.
And soon Johhny’s will offer a special night for guys 50+ that
will include 50 cent drinks, chicken wings and some cute
dancers.
