Del Shore's Black Comedy About White Trash: Sordid Lives

Rising Action Theatre Inc presents Sordid Lives Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 pm; Sunday at 7 pm performing Jan 15 through Feb 21.

"The 39 Steps"

Broadway Across America & Florida Theatrical Association presents the “The 39 Steps.” Described as a mix of a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, and a dash of Monty Python. The mind-blowing cast of four plays over 150 characters in this fast-paced tale of an ordinary man on an extraordinarily entertaining adventure. The show is playing through Sunday, February 28 at the Parker Playhouse, 707 NE 8th St., Fort Lauderdale. Performances are Tuesday through Saturday at 8 p.m., Sundays at 7:30 p.m., Matinees Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. and Thursday, February 11 at 2 p.m. Tickets are between $15 and $50 and are available at www.broadwayacrossamerica.com; www.browardcenter.org

 
NVEEE Dine & Donate at Galanga Thai and Sushi

Join NVEEE, a nonprofit organization that provides mentoring services, educational resources, and advocacy to youth who have been victims of bullying or hate crimes, at MoQuila for a DINE-AND-DONATE evening from 5-10 p.m. Galanga Thai and Sushi is located at 2389 Wilton Drive, Wilton Manors. 

*10% of the dining proceeds will be used to support NVEEE’s national anti-bullying campaign, to begin their efforts in sponsoring a local youth group, and for area youth to participate in Florida’s AIDS WALK 2010.

ArtExplosion 10 International LGBT Art Festival
ArtsUnited presents ArtExplosion 10 International LGBT Art Festival this February 6-20, 2010,  two weeks of art, film, music, dance, theatre, literature, comedy and cabaret by gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender artists and performers. This year’s highlights include comic legend Kate Clinton, music sensation Matt Albers, an exhibit of the Harlem Renaissance, artists and performers from the spotlight country of Brazil, and a special pre-festival performance by Ballet Trockadero des Monte Carlo. Mardi Gras Sawmill Style
