What's
in the bag?
Find out this Friday, September 15th from 7pm to 9pm as
Naked Grape hosts its first 'Brown Bag' wine tasting.
Four reds, four whites but we're not telling you what
they are. Using a scorecard, try to identify the grape
varietal, the region and the producer. At the end of the
tasting, the identity of the wines will be revealed and
prizes will be awarded at three levels based on the best
scores.
It's a great way to expand your wine knowledge and your
tasting palate while playing a sophisticated drinking
game with your friends.
Tickets: $10 in advance by calling 954-563-5631 or in
person at the store. Parties of 5 or more reserved in

7.30 PM
"That Old Black Magic", an evening with
Albert Batista-Morris. The Stonewall Library &
Archives invites you to meet Albert Batista-Morris,
grand nephew of Cuba's ex-President Fulgeneio Batista.
Albert will share his poetry and short stories as a
child shuttling back and forth between glamorous Cuba
and Miami in the 1950's to his maturity as a gay member
of the exile community of South Florida. The evening
will include a multi-media presentation of his life; the
son of a socialite mother and a father who was a back-up
singer for Marilyn Monroe. Albert's poetry speaks of the
tensions between the anglo and hispanic world as well as
his own journey as a gay man. Against the backdrop of
his momentos and personal experiences this will be an
evening you will long remember. Please join us for this
exciting event at the Library. The presentation is free
and open to the public and refreshments will be served. |
