Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition

This exhibition at the Miami Museum of Science and Planetarium takes you on a chronological journey of RMS Titanic, from its design and construction, through its fateful maiden voyage and sinking, to the scientific recovery efforts that made this exhibition of Titanic artifacts possible.

The Exhibition puts you inside the experience, with full-size recreations of some of Titanic's luxurious interior spaces, including a first-class cabin. As part of Carmen Festival 2006The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival &  The Florida Grand Opera have teamed up to present  "Carmen on Film" A retrospective of the many cinematic treatments of Prosper Mérimée's famous novella. The evening begins at 6 PM, featuring a panel discussion hosted by Florida Grand Opera's Justin Moss and a montage featuring clips of the many films.  The evening will be capped off by a screening of the 2003 feature film Carmen, starring Paz Vega at 8pm. $15 General Admission $10 FLIFF and Florida Grand Opera Members. This exhibition offers an intimate view into the charmed and tragic life of an American icon.
