DJ
Pride's ability to embrace her audience is a divine gift. What truly illuminates
her artistry as a DJ is her capacity to not only effortlessly blend house genres
but to transcend them by saturating her music with pure emotion. Pride's talent
is matched only by her passion. Growing up in Northern NJ, Pride was sneaking
into the hottest clubs in Manhattan in her teens and spinning in her bedroom. A
few years later, she had spun her way through college at private events and
nightclubs throughout the Metro area. It was at this time that Pride decided to
devote her life to music and djing full time. She spent the next few years
shaping her sound at top venues in NYC including: Limelight, The Tunnel, Mark
Nelson’s Boy’s Night, Bar85, and Irving Plaza. Gaining the attention in the
local scene and starting to headline out of town events. Since her decision to
relocate to South Beach in 2001, Pride has come into her own as an artist.
Developing and honing her techniques and cultivating her emotive style, winning
her a devoted following. She has established herself as a Headliner not only
locally with performances in major venue in south Florida including: TWILO,
Voodoo Lounge, SCORE, Crobar, Nikki Beach, Mansion, TWIST, Steel, Space34, as
well as nationally. In the past few years her multiple Circuit appearances
include: White Party, Black & Blue, Fruitcake Productions, Reunion, Winter
Party, Skeleton's Ball, Spoiled Boyz, Gay Days and Aqua Girl. Notwithstanding
her residencies at CREME & SUGAR, TWIST, and SCORE, She continues to attain new
levels of success and a growing local and national fan base including
performances in Atlanta, Fire Island, NYC, Michigan, Aspen, Dallas, Houston and
Detroit. Pride has not only gained the love and respect of her fans but her
peers alike. She has worked with legendary Djs Such as Danny Tenaglia, Abel and
Victor Calderone. Her 2 year residency at CREME & SUGAR Thursdays has been the
talk of South beach since its inception and is an industry favorite. Recently,
Pride added Producer to her list of accomplishments; teaming up with fellow dj
George Figares and creating Figares and Pride. This past summer, Figares and
Pride released two original tracks. With over 15yrs of collective music
experience the new dynamic DJ / Production duo, are set to leave their mark on
the underground dance scene. Fusing their passion for creating cutting edge
sounds in the studio and in the dj booth; this will be a force to be reckoned
with. Whether she is spinning dirty house and electro at a sexy lounge,
manipulating tribal energy and progressive beats for the masses at a special
event, or delivering sublime global sounds poolside on a Sunday afternoon; her
unique texturing and technical prowess combined with her intensity and
unsurpassed selection translates to any crowd, any venue anywhere.... The
Inferno has just begun |
