I stated in last weeks column, Colt
Studio Group Exclusive Carlo Masi sent an
Email requesting an interview with me. This is my first international interview
and I could not think of a better person to do it with. Although we have not
met in person, it was very apparent from our Email communications that Carlo
Masi is truly a genuine and nice man. Most of us in the USA know him for his
pure physical and sensual side; you will see in this interview that there is a
deeper side to this amazing man. With Carlo you get Brawn and Brains…a
combination that cannot be beat!

How did you hear about my column over
in Italy?
Carlo
One of my favorite hobbies is to Google
myself...I believe it is every porno stars favorite hobby…you ran a

piece a while ago that had some pictures of me from
Folsom Street Fair
and I read your interviews with the other big stars…

That is very cool…By the way I am a 2nd
generation Italian American and I lived in
Venezia
for a while in the mid 90’s. What part of Italy are you from and where do you
live now?
Carlo
I am from
Rome
and I live there now as well. I am a capital boy. I love
Venezia
also. It is a magical city.
GIO Yes it is! How would you compare gay life in
Italy to that of the USA?
Carlo
Europe is much more gay friendly
than the USA. But Italy is a very conservative country. After all, it is where
the Pope lives. The USA can be very open but it can also be violent towards gay
people. Italians are very rarely violent… for the most part the Italian rule is
don’t ask don’t tell…but it doesn’t work for me.

We share a common sport with each other as well,
I was also a gymnast as a young man, tell me about being a gymnast and how that
sport was good for you?
Carlo
I dreamed about becoming a famous gymnast for
most of my adolescence. It helped me to build the muscular structure of my body…
Then one day I started lifting weights, and there was no time for other sports…
it was love.
GIO
I see, so that is how you got into
body building?
Carlo
It just happened. I wanted to improve my body. I was 16 and at the beginning I
lied to myself… I use to say that I didn’t want to become a body builder. But
than I jerked off every night thinking about the biggest guys at the gym.

GIO
I understand you are well educated and hold a
Master’s degree in Computer engineering…tell me about your career in this
field.
Carlo
I had been employed by my University as a
researcher in the Artificial
Intelligence Laboratory. But it was not
like I thought. It was horrible. We had no time to study and there was no
money. So I left. I went to a proper company but it was so boring. That is when
COLT
entered the picture.
GIO
Were you very popular when attending
school?
Carlo
Everybody knew me and I was openly gay and a
bodybuilder. Something you don’t see often in the faculty of computer
engineering in Italy. I was elected into the university government with 85% of
the votes. I believe people liked the fact that I was not afraid to tell about
my homosexuality and that I was never intimidated by anybody.
GIO
That is awesome that they respected you so well and a true testament to your
character as a person. How old were you when you knew you were gay and how was
the coming out experience for you?
Carlo
I knew I was gay since age 9. The hard part was
just to admit it to myself. I never had sex with a woman. But it took me 8
years to accept it.
I
came out at 17. I judged it good for my life and it took me less
than a week to tell everybody (Friends and familiars). I always thought that
whoever disagreed with my life choices could stay out of my life. It is their
decision.
GIO
What prompted you to enter the adult
entertainment industry?
Carlo
I am very much into photography. And I knew

Actually, I was a huge fan. Honestly not just because the pictures were
beautiful but also because I thought the models to be the most beautiful in the
world. I couldn’t believe somebody thought I could stand next to those models.
Just lately I re-read the first e-mails I sent to
Manfred Spears (COLT Studio
Group
talent scout). I was so scared that he would be disappointed in me, seeing me in
person (at that time he knew me just by picture). Now I am a
COLT Exclusive.
GIO
Tell me about getting that Email from
Manfred
at COLT Studio Group
requesting you to become a COLT Man?
Carlo
I thought he was some weirdo trying to get some
extra pictures. I had just achieved my master degree. Everything was so scary
and my life was changing. But I couldn’t even imagine at that time how it would
have changed.
GIO
What was your first film with
COLT Studio Group?

Big n’ Plenty. I coupled
Karim.
I didn’t do any sex for that movie. I just jerked off. Me and
Karim
standing face to face and jerked off. No body contact. That was our agreement
(mine and John Rutherford). It was very special for me to couple with

I bought a magazine when I was 20 or so with

experience appearing in front of the camera?
Carlo
It was a big surprise. I am not a “pig”. I don’t
go to cruising places and at that time, I never had done three way sex. I
thought I couldn’t have a good hard on in front of that many people. It was
right the opposite. I was excited by all those people looking at me. And of
course I was excited by the beautiful partner I had.

asked me to be an exclusive right away.

Obviously John made a good decision and
it sounds like a very positive beginning with

Is there one particular scene partner that was your favorite and why?
Carlo
it is very hard to tell. I liked them all.
GIO
That is a very PC answer… Let’s try this one…If
you could choose anyone to have sex with in your next film, who would it be and
why?
Carlo
I want to have
Luke Garret

partner Gage Weston

www.gageweston.com ). They were fantastic! I had the best sex of my life
with them. Luke is more a bottom than Gage or at least that was my perception.
That is why I want him as my next partner. It would be fantastic to have him

there an embarrassing or funny moment that has happened while filming that you
can share?
Carlo
I was on my knees when suddenly a pain burst in
my back. I couldn’t move anymore… it was so funny... or at least it is funny now
to think about that.
GIO Ouch! What is your ultimate sexual fantasy that has yet to be
fulfilled?
Carlo
I believe I lived out all my sexual fantasies.
GIO
What is your biggest turn-on
sexually?
Carlo
I like to submit men. I like the thought of
dominating an unwilling man.
GIO
What is your biggest turn-off?
Carlo
Drugs! I hate to have sex with people who are on
drugs. I never did drugs in my life and I don’t like to hang around with people
when they are on drugs. I have many friends who use drugs. I don’t have a
problem with that. But I don’t like to be with them when they are having “fun”.

How old were you the first time you had sex with
another guy and how was that experience for you?
Carlo When
I was 9 with a guy in my school. It wasn’t real sex…it was more like: “I will
suck you for 3 seconds if you will do that to me.” It was ok…

You have an amazing physique, tell me
about your workout regime…
Carlo
I work out 5 times a week for an hour. The most
important part of my work out is the diet. But I am not on a diet 12 months a
year though. I am on a very strict diet regime 3-4 months a year and the rest of
the year is free…or almost.

I love a man with a furry chest, have
you ever shaved?
Carlo
Yes, I did. And it was a pain in the ass to
shave. I was relieved when COLT
asked me not to shave.

Has anyone ever told you that you resemble a
handsome version of Lou Ferrigno?
Carlo
Yes but when I shave my head everybody says I
look like Vin Diesel.
GIO
Since becoming a
COLT Studio Group Exclusive,
how has your life changed?
Carlo
Well, now I earn more money and I travel a lot.
If I go to clubs I don’t line up and I don’t pay. I drink for free and more
often I get paid to go to a club. Apart from that, everything is fantastic.
GIO
Do you get recognized in public often? If so,
how is that experience for you?
Carlo
The first time I was asked for an autograph was
the day I shot my first movie. I was wearing a
COLT
t-shirt and I was waiting in the hall of the hotel. A guy approached me and
asked me if I was a COLT Man and than he asked me an autograph. I gave him my autograph and than I
offered him a drink. To many people being a
Colt Man is a very special thing and so it is for me. It is always very
flattering to be asked for an autograph or being recognized.

do you prefer one over the other?
Carlo
I prefer to top…

how could one improve something which is already
perfect? (Big Laugh) I am kidding; I believe I should learn to be more
patient.

The most important thing is to have chemistry
with the person… everybody has good qualities and bad faults.

moment?
Carlo
single…we can say I am single…when I am not with
my boy friend.

am not speaking about gay places. But it was always with somebody I had a

I am 5’10. I weight 220. I can’t
tell you the other stats because I don’t know how to convert cm into inch…

Besides your porn career, what are
you passionate about in life?
Carlo
I love art…Especially modern art. I also like
opera. I spend a good amount of money for tickets to the opera theatre.

I do many romantic things…which I will keep for

If you could be any animal, what
would you be and why?
Carlo
I would be a panda. Because there are becoming
extinct and they are adorable.

Since you have performed all over the world,
what is your favorite city or place that you have appeared?
Carlo
New York and Paris… New York is best city for
its life and Paris is the most elegant and sumptuous city in the world.

What is your favorite city in the
USA?
Carlo
New York… I am in love with that city. I spent 4
months there before getting my masters degree.

You have written about your tattoo “Giuseppe” on
your arm as a very special person in your life…tell me about this man and how he
has impacted your life?

Carlo
He is the first one who ever fucked me. We had a
short relation when I was 17 (just a few months). We still live together though.
He is my family. I got tattooed when I was moving to Canada (3 years ago). I
chose to take with me the most important thing in my life…so I got that tattoo.
Recently I moved back from Canada but my tattoo is still there.

How are views on pornography
different in Europe vs. the USA?
Carlo
European porn is cheap. No money and no glamour.
GIO
What can you fans expect in the

They can expect everything. I am a mad man. You
