To the supporters of Mark's List. As you can see from in the letter from Sheri
Elfman, Editor of 411 Magazine below, change has come very quickly for the
former employees of 411 and the Blade, a part of Unite Media.
The rumors you have heard are half true. The staff has been locked out of
their office building, however the magazine will continue to publish. This
week's magazine was ready for print and will appear on newsstands as 411, a
property of Unite Media. Next week the magazine will publish as Mark's List
Magazine, a property of Multimedia Platforms LLC. All of your favorite
features in 411 will move over to the new publication.
I am proud to be on board with this new venture. I have worked very hard with
this team over the past few years. We put out separate publications that in many
ways competed with each other, but at the end of the day we were a team.
You may have noticed that Mark's List has been on a hiring spree these past
few weeks. Mark's List is ready to run without me pushing the buttons. We have
confirmation that the vast majority of people formerly of 411 will continue with
the new publication. A skeleton office has already been set up. A larger space
is already in the works. Computers, phone systems and email will all be running
within days. Graphic designers are putting the finishing touches on our "look."
The sales team is already out working on our launch edition.
So it is not as business as usual for this team, but it is business as usual
for our clients.
We look forward to working with you for a long time to come.
Mark
